Day 1 at World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos – Early signals are unmistakable

The first day of the World Economic Forum in Davos has concluded, and the WEF26 theme, “A Spirit of Dialogue,” could not be more timely.

The world has changed dramatically – and earlier than in previous years, the dominant topics in Davos are already clear: geopolitics and AI.

Both represent profound disruptions that companies must confront head-on. In our first discussions, the prevailing sentiment is telling:
• Geopolitics: cautious, even pessimistic
• Artificial Intelligence: markedly more optimistic
