DOODLAGE

Doodlage is a brand from India that I discovered while attending the Atelier Days in Erlenbach in June. What I truly love about Doodlage is that everything is made from waste – yet the quality is so fabulous you would never guess. The designs are also completely en vogue.
When it comes to Doodlage, I would like to tell you more about the woman responsible for bringing the brand to Europe – Divya Shori. She is a woman passionately committed to sustainable fashion and circular, transparent practices within the fashion industry. As a result, she is currently setting up Re:Nova Switzerland, a platform selected for the SINGA Switzerland Accelerator in partnership with Deloitte. With a vision to bridge the sustainability gap, she is shaping a culture where sustainability is no longer a premium lifestyle but a way of life for everyone.

Many sustainable fashion brands will be featured on the Re:Nova Switzerland platform going forward, so stay tuned.

VOLANS

I’m super excited to showcase VOLANS swimwear in this edition – a lovely mother-daughter brand founded in 2018 by Mira and Ivon Blazevic.
Each bathing suit and bikini is thoughtfully designed to provide perfect support and aesthetics for a variety of body shapes. I especially love how the bikini tops flatter those of us with smaller cup sizes. I have the Bela bikini top, and it looks and feels amazing – offering support and a gorgeous silhouette without artificial padding or underwire. Clever, right?

The high-cut Vera bikini bottoms are perfect for creating the illusion of longer legs.

All designs are created in Zurich, and the swimwear is produced in a family-run factory in Croatia. With a maximum production radius of 500 kilometres, VOLANS ensures outstanding quality while staying environmentally conscious and socially responsible.

AZENAYA

AZENAYA was founded by Andrea Zehnder from Zug, Switzerland. Her fascination with knitting and creating things by hand began in kindergarten, when her grandmother taught her how to knit and crochet.
Although she completed her studies in marketing and communication, Andrea’s true passion for handcrafting remained close to her heart. During a break to focus on her family – she has three children and a devoted husband – she began exploring traditional handcrafts. That journey led her to discover the Wayuu, the indigenous group from Colombia. She was instantly captivated by the vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and diverse techniques used to create their bags.
Andrea started by purchasing one Wayuu bag, then a second, a third, and eventually many more – until she took the bold step to launch her own label: AZENAYA. She proudly shares that she now offers one of the largest collections of premium Wayuu bags in all of Europe.

The knowledge and techniques behind Wayuu bags have been passed down through generations, and Andrea has made it her mission to spread their story across Europe. Small bags take about one month to produce, while larger ones take two. In today’s fast-paced world, preserving these traditional techniques feels especially meaningful.

AMiGAS Sandals

The journey of AMiGAS leather sandals began in 2019, when Zurich-based graphic designer Manuela Murschetz travelled to Vietnam and had a pair custom-made in the tourist town of Hoi An.
The first designs were developed in Hang Huynh’s shoemaking workshop with comfort, durability, elegance, and a playful spirit in mind. Manuela and Hang became friends – and so the story of AMiGAS Sandals began.
Each pair is carefully handcrafted by the shoemakers employed by Hang Huynh, ensuring fair working conditions. Plus, AMiGAS sandals are made from leftover leather, meaning some colours are only available in limited editions for a short time.

What makes AMiGAS truly unique is its thoughtful approach to different foot shapes. Whether you have Egyptian or Greek feet, there’s a design tailored for you! Not only are the sandals incredibly comfortable, but they also make your feet look fabulous. The online shop is set up so you select your foot shape first, then explore models designed to fit perfectly. It couldn’t be easier. I’m absolutely in love with my metallic pink sandals – they’ve been the ideal vacation companion: compact in the suitcase and super comfy, even when my feet are a little swollen (smile!).
AMiGAS Sandals are available online, or you can try them on at various markets or partner shops. You’ll find the full list of markets and stores on the website:
