When I spoke with Christian Wick, the Swiss founder of Golden Eider, he explained that a duvet is much more than something that keeps us warm. It can influence our comfort, temperature regulation and ultimately, the quality of our sleep.

What fascinated me most during our conversation was Christian’s passion for something many of us rarely think about. While we carefully choose what we eat, wear, and put on our skin, the environment we sleep in is often overlooked.
Inspired by one of nature’s rarest materials, Christian created Golden Eider: a duvet where luxury meets nature. The brand uses precious eiderdown from Iceland, collected sustainably after the ducks leave their nests. This careful process continues a centuries-old tradition along Iceland’s coastline, where eiderdown is gathered by hand in harmony with nature. The result is an exceptionally light, breathable and temperature-regulating duvet, individually and tailor-made crafted in Switzerland.
