I am super excited to be including La DoubleJ in this month’s Fashion Edition. It truly is one of my all-time favourite fashion brands. I have met J.J. Martin personally in Milan several times, and I remain in absolute awe of her creativity. Yet J.J. Martin is so much more than a fashion entrepreneur.
She began her career as a fashion journalist and moved to Italy over 20 years ago, describing the country as her first “major spiritual teacher”. In 2015, she launched La DoubleJ as a different kind of luxury lifestyle brand – one that harnesses the mood-boosting power of vibrant colour and maximalist prints through fashion, homeware and energy-elevating experiences. Interestingly, it all began as an online magazine selling vintage fashion.
