Pushing your limits and beyond: let’s plant ideas!
Self- defense, Strength, Cardio, Flexibility, Coordination, self- confidence, stress relief, full body workout: Muay Thai covers it all. Muay Thai, also known as Thaiboxing or the art of the eight limbs combines punches, kicks, knee strikes, elbow strikes and clinching techniques.
In this workshop you are going to learn your proper fight stands, how to punch and kick and how to throw elbows and knee strikes.
But don’t worry, we’re not going to fight one another, we do it with kicking shields, pads and boxing gloves. Sweating is going to be guaranteed but so is a lot of fun.
Muay Thai is an excellent way to clear your head and mind while strengten your body. It’s a physically intense activity that requires a lot of energy and focus, boosts your self- confidence and improves focus and concentration.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP SPEAKER
Sonja Jimerson
found her passion for Muay Thai in 2006. After trying it for the first time at age 21 year old, she felt for it head over heels and before she knew it it made her change her subject at University to Sport Science.
Sonja Jimerson became Swiss Champion in Muay Thai in 2012 and 2013 and European Champion in 2014 and 2015.
After managing a Muay Thai gym for years she opened her own gym in 2020 and is the first female in Switzerland who runs her own Muay Thai gym on her own.
She’s coaching and managing fighters and teaches Muay Thai to young and old, from 5 to 65 year old men and women, to people who just doing it for fun and as a workout as well as professional fighters. Whenever Sonja gets the chance she likes to travel the world, training or teaching Muay Thai wherever she goes.
